I made it

I am having a blast. Randa and I have been just doing a bunch of this and that. Yesterday we went downtown Tirana and saw the Two Towers, the Trade Center, and a bunch of other things that I did not expect to see here. We got to eat at Mr. Chicken and enjoyed some coffee at some place. I have also had the opportunity to try some borak (some type of cheese pastry thing). We have spent some time in the neighborhood going to some of the markets. Things here are a little bit different, but yet similar. Most of the roads are just dirt roads and full of many pot holes. The people are a little crazy on the roads, but it just reminds me of all my back roads at home.
With the church we also have been very busy. First thing Thursday morning we had a meeting for VBT and the last two days we have been busy passing out fliers for it. Please do be praying for it. They are expecting around 200 children and there are about 15 people that I know of that are helping. I get to be the teacher for the 2nd -3rd grade. I will have an interprator of course, but yet it is still a little scary. We will start VBT on Monday morning and then will continue through Friday. On Friday we will have the regular meeting in the morning and then a closing in the evening. And also through next week we will be holding activities for the teens. So needless to say next week is going to be very busy.
The weather is extremely hot and hazy. I was surprised at how hot it has been, but we are surviving. Thankfully the Fiocchi's do have air in their living room, but at night when we are trying to sleep it is almost unbearable. Oh-well, I will surive.
